Martian Crops Are Now A Reality!

It seems that we’ve successfully grown crops in Martian soil simulant. No, really! Ten different crops including tomatoes, peas, rye, radish and garden cress. I wouldn’t eat the newest batch though. All the delicious details can be found here.

  1. So, all the vegetables I tried to grow in my garden would actually do better in Martian soil than our alkaline (corn-hating) soil. πŸ˜‰ Figures. Or it could just be me. This is fascinating, though, really. Thanks for sharing! πŸ™‚
